SEW SIMPLE

Due to my boredom while waiting for my job application calls and text messages I have decided to use my spare time on doing DIY clothes. So I have decided to order an electric sewing machine on Lazada with the brand name, Sew Simple (Pretty cool and catchy brand name isn’t it?! SO SIMPLE!) I have already tried to use the sewing machine, it is really easy to use and I can say it is durable. It has also 12 stitches designs that you can select with. And I must say that it is really worth recommended for a friend who also want to have a mini electric sewing machine. Btw, the shipping was also fast and the packaging is also nicely done!

And with this sewing machine I have already transformed this zebra detailed shirt into a cute cropped top. And I was really dumb not to take pictures of the shirt before I transformed it.So basically I don't have any photo to show with the BEFORE of the shirt. *I already knew what to do next time.

And Yes! I have also decided to cut my never been used denim pants (And again I was not able to take pictures of the pants before transforming. my bad!) and transformed it into a distress denim short. And I even bought a rose patch and stitched it in front of the shorts just to hide some of the imperfection of my old pants. And viola this is it!

And here are some of the detailing of the distress denim shorts that I transformed

And with the excess of the pants that I made as shorts I have come to the idea of turning it into a denim skirt given that I only have one trendy denim skirt. And yep! this time I already have taken a photo of the excess before turning it into a skirt.

BEFORE DIY

AFTER

  FRONT                                            BACK

And these are the details of my DIY skirt!(I was not able to capture the lower part which is actually my favorite detailing, btw that white line at the back was actually a zipper that I added.)

Another one that I have recently transformed is this cute denim shorts. This is originally a vintage denim pants. (And yep! again, I was not able to take photo before transforming it. Sorry!)

And this is the back details of the denim shorts. I really like the vintage vibe of it. The light washed denim color and the metal at the pocket and also the flowers in it.

And this last one was actually my first DIY without using the electric sewing machine,so basically I stitched it with my hands. (using a needle and thread of course!) And I'm quite happy and proud of it. But again, I  was not able to take picture of the polo shirts before transforming it. It was actually an old semi army green/gray Ralph Lauren polo shirt before I transformed it into this cute tank top. It was already my personal favorite at the moment.

So yes! That is all the DIYs that I have done within two days that I have received the machine. I will be posting more of my DIY clothes maybe with the next coming days and maybe I can also make step by step picture tutorials on how I DIY my old clothes.

So here I am wearing the DIY clothes. *winks!

The excess of the denim pants into this Korean style denim skirt paired with my Aeropostale graphic tee

And lastly, my personal fav! Ralph Lauren tank top paired with this old denim pants from my aunt.

These are the details of the vintage pants.

That is all for my blog today!

I hope I somehow inspired you to try to upcycle some of your old clothes with the trendy styles this year.

xoxo!

My Poetic Side

Sorry - by yours truly

I'm sorry I fell in love with the way you smile
I'm sorry I fell in love with the way you look me in the eye
And I'm sorry that I didn't help myself from falling in love with you
But I feel sorry for myself too
Because I fell in love with a guy who can't say
"I love you too."

Retro Inspired Look

"Dresses are the ultimate illusion. People think you've put more effort into your outfit. But in fact, I just threw this over my head so I don't have to wear pants!"

This is my outfit last week when I attended our Sunday service at the church. It is quite simple which I really adore, it is light brown in color with this simple lace that I can tie around. I just paired it up with my black high heels and yeah I'm good to go! For my face I just put some lip tint on my lips and put some mascara on my lashes and just make my hair look undone. I think this look was more of like '70s or '60s. Btw, the dress I'm wearing was from #Reporter!

For Keeps

Good friends are like stars, you may not always see them but you know they are always there.

Having a simple bonding with your friends makes the whole world of yours simple and full of joy. I just want to document this simple get together with my high school best friends last July 2016. It is really not planned but we still managed to make it happen. The four of us just came up with the idea that tomorrow morning we should go to Grace's crib and surprise her and bring food and catch up with one another. So yeah! That morning we exchanged messages with this secret group we made on Messenger and Viola! the four of us meet at the bus stop, bought some food and beverages and went immediately to our friends crib. And the funny thing is that we are the one who is surprised by her mom because she told us that Grace wasn't around. She's currently on duty with her summer job. But because of the urge to make our "barkada" complete we went immediately to where she works and just went straight to her like "Surprise! We're here. Let's go for a walk at the beach!" and she was like "Are you serious? I have lots of things to do still." And we're just "HAHAHAHA, we're really weird. But pls, pretty pls!" And luckily her boss allowed her! So we went immediately at the beach and make "kwentohan" with random things under the sun. After that we did take pictures being complete(Jireh, Grace, Rhea, Leny and Me)So yeah! That's a wrap, we did enjoy one another and we didn't spent money that much just for the food and fare. Yep! That's a tip from us on how not to spend money when you're planning to catch up with your friends. *winks!

Team Wapz since 2010

(Wapz- stands for "Wapakels" because we're like the group who doesn't care with every drama in the four corners of our classroom during our HS years)

Just smile! :)

Coachella Vibe!

Everyone was crazy about "COACHELLA" Festival and I'm guilty with that (well! who isn't?) The event features many genres of music and it was also attended by huge Hollywood stars. Honestly what I'm excited about this event is how stylish the celebrities with their Coachella themed fashion styles. Of course the Queen of Coachella (Vanessa Hudgens) was first on my list, I mean she rocks bohemian style. She's so creative and artistic in choosing every outfit she wears for the event. And I admire her with that, she's effortlessly gorgeous!
Dreaming to be at Coachella Music Festival I've decided to create my own Coachella Themed outfit!
Massimo Dutti top, vintage denim shorts, Camper boots, denim style bag, black choker, round sunglasses, inverted triangle necklace, and set of layered rings and bangles. Wishing and praying that someday I can also attend this Festival!

Feels.
